Any creative currently enrolled at UON can enter
How to enter?
Simply complete the webform ensuring you fill in all sections
How many times can I enter?
You can enter as many ideas as you wish however you must only submit one entry per webform
How can I demonstrate my creative ability on the entry form?
You should include an image of previous work or proposed competition work in the attachment tab on the webform
What type of art will be accepted?
All forms of art will be considered. Interactive exhibition elements (including sensory experiences for the visually impaired) are encouraged. Pieces that involve community interaction in the preparation of the piece either before or during the exhibition (eg - canvassing of community opinion on the topic via social media that is then reflected in the art) are also encouraged.
When does the competition close?
The competition closes at 5pm 30 June 2021. See the timeline for other deadlines
Who will decide?
The competition team will select the piece which demonstrates the best creative science communication for each theme. The Biomes management team will nominate the preferred artist for each element in consultation with the relevant conservation scientist. If submissions for a particular category are not deemed suitable then no award will be offered.
